Personal shopper, not a forwarder

Looking for a forwarding service?

A forwarder gives you a Japanese address and forwards whatever turns up. You still have to complete the purchase yourself — and a Japanese checkout rejecting a foreign card is where most people get stuck. We do the buying instead.

A forwarding service

  • You register for a Japanese address
  • You check out on the Japanese store yourself
  • Your card has to be accepted by that store
  • Nobody checks the item before it ships
  • A rejected payment is your problem to solve

ShipMate Shop for Me

  • No address to register — we buy per order
  • You paste a link; we complete the purchase
  • We pay the store in yen, you pay us
  • Every item checked against the import rules for Trinidad and Tobago first
  • Anything we can't buy is dropped before you pay — or refunded in full

How it works

From a browser tab to your door in Trinidad and Tobago

  1. Tell us it's going to Trinidad and Tobago

Every check that follows is specific to Trinidad and Tobago — what can enter, what can't, and what it costs to get there.

  2. Paste your links

  4. Pay for the items — we go shopping

  5. Pay shipping, receive your box in Trinidad and Tobago

Customs & duty

Customs and duty when your box reaches Trinidad and Tobago

The honest version, so nothing about the final bill is a surprise.

Trinidad and Tobago collects duty on delivery

Import duty and taxes on your parcel are set by Trinidad and Tobago, not by us, and are normally collected by the carrier when it's delivered. They aren't included in the prices on this page.

No surprises about what can enter

What we do control is eligibility: every item is checked against the import rules for Trinidad and Tobago before you pay, so nothing prohibited or restricted ends up in your box.

Declared honestly, every time

Your parcel is declared at its real contents and value. We won't under-declare an order — it's the customer who carries the risk when a parcel is seized.

What you can buy

Any Japanese online store. Yes, any.

There’s no whitelist to check against. If a Japanese site has a product page, paste the link. Here’s what people order most.

  • Model kits & figures
  • Trading cards & games
  • Stationery & fountain pens
  • Skincare & beauty
  • Fashion & streetwear
  • Snacks, tea & pantry
  • Books, manga & music
  • Electronics & gadgets

Works: every store with a product page

For example

The only exceptions: auction and person-to-person marketplaces

  • Mercari
  • Yahoo Auctions

We can’t guarantee the item, the seller or the timing on Mercari, Yahoo Auctions and sites like them, so those are out. That’s the whole list. Paste anything else — an unsupported link is flagged the moment you add it, never after you’ve paid.
